General Labourers in Grande Prairie (Skid Steer & Forklift Preferred)

Posted to Indeed, We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess experience in operating equipment such as skid steers and forklifts. A proactive work ethic, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to perform a variety of tasks related to yard maintenance, equipment operation, and general labor are essential for success in this role.

Position Responsibilities

• Sorting and seperating recyclables for bailing.
• Operate skid steers and forklifts with precision and safety to move materials, load and unload trailers, and assist in various tasks.
• Perform general yard maintenance tasks, including but not limited to cleaning, organizing, and ensuring a tidy work environment.
• Engage in grass cutting and landscaping duties to maintain the appearance and safety of the outdoor areas.
• Take on snow removal responsibilities during winter months, including clearing walkways, entrances, and parking lots.
• Efficiently and safely bale cardboard materials for recycling, following established protocols.
• Collaborate with the team to load trailers and trucks with materials for transportation.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment as needed, ensuring safe and proper functioning.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, maintaining a commitment to a safe work environment.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization
• Other duties and projects may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating skid steers and forklifts is strongly preferred.
• Valid skid steer and forklift operator's tickets or certifications are advantageous.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently, demonstrating a strong work ethic and reliability.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is beneficial.
• Safety-conscious mindset and a willingness to adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
• Certified in First Aid would be strongly preffered
